This print is taken from Fowler’s original drawing ‘Every Girl Crazy’ which formed part of her 2017 solo exhibition at the Cob Gallery, London. Depicting Marilyn Monroe, Bette Davis, Jayne Mansfield and Marlene Dietrich. Fowler has again created a subversive montage, snagging on our expected depiction of these icons. Her oeuvre is littered with explorations of the overlap between the public and private sphere and what the navigations of these realms by celebrity and fan alike can reveal of our cultural story.
This giclée print is on heavy, fine art Hahnemühle photo-rag paper. The smooth yet slightly textured surface of this paper allows for the highest quality reproduction of the original artwork. The inks used are archival and will not fade. Our metal frames are hand-made, using modern techniques to produce clean, sharp edges. We use UV filtering acrylic to protect the prints from sunlight.
